Its a very cute spot with plenty to look at and entertain yourselves with. I attended on a tuesday and just planned on walking around and grabbing some lunch. My rating would of been higher if the petting zoo was in better shape, the emus enclosure was far too small and it was visibly stressed. Additionally none of the animals had access to clean or fresh water and the pen with the goats had trash littered throughout. I was very disappointed with the state the animals were being kept in and the fact there was no staff available to tend to them or for me to raise concerns too.

Just leaving nowโ€ฆ we came in planning to spend some money. We had a list of 48 plants / border / ground cover for a big landscaping project at our house. We asked three people to help us find specific things. The first girl we spoke to couldnโ€™t even tell us if there was anyone available to help. Nobody could show us where to find the things on our list. We spent about 20 minutes walking around. We are leaving now to go to Loweโ€™s. Cheaper prices, plants are better marked, helpful staff and a military discount. Go to Loweโ€™s!!

Spent our traditional day before Easter here as my 11 year old granddaughter and I have for 10 years. We attend most of the events provided throughout the year. Do better Linton staff! Out of the 6 employees there, only half the staff were kind. Thank you to the kind young cashier, the event gal at the door and the train driver for maintaining the high level of customer service we have been accustomed to. And, yes, we keep returning for the $6.99 train ride for the egg "hunt" ... where you simply throw our empty plastic eggs in the grass, have the kiddos pick them up and have to bring them inside for a goodie bag. This year a bag or hand sanitizer would have been nice to get the goose poop off our hands! And, have to question the "goodie" bag. Two suckers, piece of hard candy and a coupon for a free train ride- with PURCHASE of gem mining in May- were the contents. ??? Make your guests, especially paying customers, feel special. Do better! Special note to the staff member yelling across the room at kids.... you should find another career not surrounded by little ones! Will we return? Will see if my granddaughter wants to. I prefer to spend my hard-earned money elsewhere!!

We went on the train ride, fed the animals. All in all a great time. The Cafe was a disappointment. We had one order in front of us. We got smoothies and cakes. It took 24 minutes to get them. The Rockslide brownie was dry. Very disappointing. The carrot cake was good, as were the smoothies. The prices were crazy expensive. The whole place is quaint. So many decorative ideas! I actually bought a fruit tree and got it in our car! There is a tiny play ground and photo opportunities. The macaws were friendly and talkative. Would definitely recommend.

Ok, here it goes. I'm going to do a pros and cons list below first. *PROS* - entry is free - beautiful - fun - free petting zoo/ animal viewing area - cafe if you need a snack Good photo opportunities - amazing gift shop with gorgeous things for sale and viewing. *CONS* - the train costs money - the mining cost money - the prices in the gift shop are high - most extra things you're able to do so have a cost. - Some of the features were not open or misleading. All that being said, it is a great experience. You will have fun for an hour or so and make some memories with your family or friends, which in the end is what it is all about, right.. I feel it is definitely worth a trip to see it and enjoy it.
